What’s on

By popular demand we’ve got a new format this year which includes mixed hockey! As usual there are cash prizes for all competition winners and runners up.

  • MEN - 12 Mens Teams
  • WOMEN - 12 Womens Teams
  • MIXED - 16 Mixed Six-a-side Teams

PLUS - There will be an Olympic theme for 2012

Formats

Men’s and Women’s Tournaments: 2 pools of 6 teams. Games will be 25 minutes each way. The winner of each pool to play in the final.

Mixed Six-a-Side Tournament: 4 pools of 4 teams. Games to be 25 minutes one way. Play offs will be 1st v 2nd and 3rd v 4th from alternate groups and then a play off for final placings.

Umpires: Each Mixed Six-a-side team must provide (or acquire) an umpire for each of their games.

Venue and facilities

  • 2 water based astros, 1 sand-based and 1 grass pitch - at Polo Farm
  • Camping on site, Plenty of loos + parking
  • Clubhouse, marquees, bar + showers
  • Sports kit and leisure wear on sale
  • Historic Canterbury - 5 mins drive.
  • Paddle in the sea - Herne Bay - 10 miles.

  • Snakebite will be on sale in the beer tent
  • Hot food on sale all weekend from breakfast time.

How to enter

  • We operate a “First Come First Served Policy ” enter early to avoid disappointment.
  • Please complete the entry form (1 per team) and email to easter2012@polofarm.org.
  • Pay deposit + we will send confirmation.

Entry fees

  • MENS & WOMENS TEAMS: Entry fees remain £450 per squad up to 15 players. Additional players £30 a head.
  • MIXED TEAMS: £300 per squad up to a max of 10 players. NB Those playing in a mens or womens team MUST NOT double up and play Mixed as well - Points will be deducted as a sanction. All players must be registered with Tournament Control at the start of the weekend.
  • CAMPING - Just £15 per person (please book in advance to guarantee space for your tents at the ground).
  • REFUNDABLE ALCOHOL BOND - Now just £100 per squad. Strictly no alcohol to be brought onsite. Pay the £100 Bond with your final balance payment and get a cash refund on Easter Sunday for not breaking the Bond. (Download form with Bond rules).

Paying your deposit

  • DEADLINE 28 JAN 2012 EXTENDED – Last date for paying your deposit (£225 for Mens, £225 for Womens, £150 for Mixed - per team) - pay online via Worldpay on our deposit payment page.
  • DEPOSITS - As in the past, deposits are non-refundable - unless we are already over-subscribed.

Paying your balance

  • Deadline 9 March 2012 - The full balance must be paid by this date – including the cost of camping (if applicable).
  • All payments to be made online.
