After last year’s huge success, we would like to invite you to enter for Easter 2010 – and join us for some great hockey plus lots of fun and entertainment.
What’s on As last year we will be running Men and Ladies Trophy competitions and a Mens Cup - No mixed teams. - For men - 16 Trophy & 8 Cup Teams
- For ladies - 16 Trophy Teams
- 5/6 Matches per team from Friday to Monday.
Prize money for top teams: - Mens Cup - winner £600, runner up £200
- Mens and Ladies Trophy - winners £100.
(For the uninitiated, cup events are the more serious hockey options)
Venue and facilities - 2 water based astros, 1 sand-based and 1 grass pitch - at Polo Farm
- Plus 2 additional astro pitches near by, with free transport to and from matches
- Camping available on site
- Plenty of loos and parking
Clubhouse, marquees, bar and showers - Sports kit and leisure wear on sale
- Historic Canterbury - 5 mins drive.
- Paddle in the sea - Herne Bay 10 miles.
Refreshments - Snakebite will be on tap, as usual, in the beer tent.
- Hot food can be purchased throughout the weekend with hot bacon rolls for breakfast to help ease the hangovers.
Free entertainments - As always good hockey will be balanced with FREE entertainment every night in our large heated marquee.
- Friday and Saturday evenings Live Music to warm up for the Sunday afternoon karaoke, followed by the Sunday night DISCO!! - see 2009 photos
| | How to enter - We are operate a “First Come First Served Policy ” enquiries have started, so respond early to avoid disappointment.
- Please complete the entry form (1 per team) and email to easter2010@polofarm.org. Once we have verified your deposit payment, we will send confirmation.
- Pay deposit £225
Entry fees - Entry fees are £450 for a team of up to 15 players.
- Each additional player is £20 per head (if paid before Easter, £30 if not) - this includes entry to all of the evening entertainment. Use fee calculator
- Camping costs £40 per head (please book in advance to guarantee space for your tents at the ground)
- Alcohol bond £300 - This year , stictly no alcohol to be brought onsite. A fully refundable refund of £300, due with the full balance payment, will be paid back in cash on Easter Sunday. (download form).
Paying your deposit - Deadline 12 Jan 2010 – Last date for paying your deposit of £225. But, early deposit payment and return of completed entry form will secure your place.

- Deposits - As in the past, deposits are non-refundable - unless we are already over-subscribed.
