Kent and England Ashes winner Geraint Jones gave a coaching session during the Canterbury C.C. academy nets sessions. Two of our young wicketkeepers were joined by 1st XI keeper, Simon Smith as 'Jonesy' took them through their paces and helped to improve their skills etc. The Academy is there to assist young players with their development and hopefully progression through the various club sides to the 1st XI. This years sessions were overseen by Chris Stone who has a wealth of experience in the cricketing world and more recently within Kent County Cricket Club. Players are selected for the Academy each year with indoor net session being held at the King School, Canterbury in Febuary/March.

Above is Geraint Jones giving the value of his experience to keepers, Simon Smith, Josh Staunton and Sam Burt
