2016-17 season

After a fantastic summer for womens hockey in Britain we look forward to a hectic season ahead. The 1st team this year is very different. Many changes, not least new coach Ed Welch.

2014-15 season

1s – Women's Premier Division

This season saw the addition of Susannah Townsend and Dirkie Chamberlain who proved to be hugely dynamic and powerful additions to the team. We would also like to say a huge thank you to Polo Farm and The Canterbury HC and to express how much we love our refurbished pitch.

We finished second in the league and 2nd in the play offs, thus securing a place in Europe again.  We only conceded 13 goals in 18 matches and kept 9 clean sheets thanks in no small part to our defensive trio of Helen Fagg in goal, Mel Clewlow and our Captain Grace Balsdon at full back.

We finished the season with 44 points, only 4 behind winners Surbiton, which, when put into perspective, last season we also finished the league with 44 points and won the league.

Top scorers:
9 for Sarah Kerly, 6 for Dirkie Chamberlain, 5 a piece for Grace Balsdon,  Susannah Townsend and Mel Clewlow.

European Club Championship Report 2015

We had mixed fortunes in Holland at the European Club Championships, our first game against the top seed ended in a 1-1 draw, with the outcome decided by shuffles, unfortunately our shoot out performance was lacking and having not scored a single shuffle we lost, and out of the medal places we went.

The second game against the Irish, U.C.D  was a huge disappointment although we were the better side the lack of concentration and ability to stay to the game plan was lost and we did not produce a good performance losing 2-3.

The last game was vs the fiesty Russians: CSP Izmailovo, we pulled together and followed the game plan and the performance was superb, coming out worthy 5-1 winners. We finished 7th but stay in the top flight.
