If you are interested in representing your county?
Then - East Kent Junior Development Centre will be running free assessment sessions for U12/U13/U14 boys and girls (born 2005/2004/2003) on Sat 9 July 10.00-11.30 at Polo Farm sports ground.
U15/U16/U17 boys and girls (born 2002/2001/2000) on Mon 5 Sept 20.00-21.30 at Polo Farm sports ground.
Training for Under 14 to Under 18 age groups also resumes for the new season and continues weekly t

higgins awards 2015 success
U16 Girls Winner - Lizzie Neal: Played her first Premiership match at the age of 15 and was one of the youngest girls to score a goal in the Premiership League. Lizzie is currently at Kent College in Canterbury where she is coached by Nick Clark & Susie Rowe and when playing at Canterbury Ladies Hockey Club is coached by Jen Wilson. Lizzie currently has 16 England caps.
Selected for England U16 squad in January 2014.
1 of only 5 players in the squad to play in every training camp and the 5 Nations Tournament.
Took part in the Futures Cup October 2014. Should have been in the U16 squad but moved into the U18 squad – playing for the Saxon Tigers who won the competition.
U18 Girls Runner Up - Anna Baker: First represented Canterbury Ladies 1st at the age of 15 and played her first full season at the age of 16/17 for 2013/2014 season for both the indoor and outdoor squads.
2013/2014 Highlights; Winning the National League, scoring goals in both the outdoor and indoor semi - finals, winning most promising player for the 2013/2014 season. Anna also won a bronze medal at Sainsbury's School Games held in Manchester Sept 2014.
Educated at Sutton Valence School in Kent, where she is coached by Dave Matthews and coached by Jen Wilson at Canterbury Hockey Club.

U16 Boys 3rd - James Oates: A regular for Canterbury Men's 1's and made his debut last season at the age of 15 against Reading. He is coached by Kwan Brown and dad, Gus Oates at Canterbury Hockey Club.
Since the Single System has been introduced, James has participated every year earning a place in the Kent JAC side, the JRPC squads, U15 HiPac, U16 & U18 Saxon Tigers squads. James suffered with a back injury just before the Futures Cup tournament in 2013 which put him out of hockey for a month or so, but he persevered, kept fit and was able to play at the tournament where the Saxon Tigers won the U16’s title.
James was selected for U16 NAGS assessment in 2013 and was part of the U16 England team in 2014. James earned his first England Cap on the day of his 16th birthday – a fabulous birthday present! James was selected for further England U16 tournaments culminating in the 4 Nations in Spain and now has 14 England Caps.
As an U17, James has now been selected for the U18 NAGS assessment squad.
James is educated at The King’s School Canterbury where he is coached by Jen Wilson & Aaron Blumfield.
